Milwaukee, WI-Medical equipment design requires sensitivity to many users, from doctors and patients to purchasing departments and beyond. CIVCO, a leader in motion management for imaging and Radiation Oncology procedures engaged Brooks Stevens, Inc. for the design of trUpoint ARCH. This new stabilization device for stereotactic radiosurgery was designed from several points of view.
Recently debuted at the ESTRO Forum in Geneva, Switzerland, the trUpoint Arch was featured as an innovation leader for radiosurgery accessories. The device stabilizes the patient for their comfort and safety while addressing consistent and quick setup for the technicians. BSI Industrial Design and color strategy (for this and other CIVCO products within this environment) improved overall aesthetics through softer forms influenced by anatomy rather than rigid architecture and mechanics.
