St. Paul, MN & Milwaukee, WI – Industrial Vehicle Technology magazine issued a design challenge: Design a suspension system that will improve the stability of a construction or agricultural vehicle on soft or uneven terrain.  BSI answered that challenge with two radical concept solutions, both published in this month’s issue of the industry magazine.

Our Magneto forest harvester concept conforms to terrain needs through the use of ER-fluid joints and adaptive tracks, with the operator isolated within a magnetically-levitated cab.

Our High-Wheel Lynx tree harvester concept employs independently articulated large-diameter hubless wheels for unprecedented maneuverability and improved operator visibility.
